The next meeting of the Board of Directors will be Monday, May 20 at 5:30pm at the Current Community Room, 215 First Ave N. All co-op owners are welcome.

We have 2 new directors on our board: Nina Gerber & Jim Faircloth. Our officers for the next year are Lisa Earls - president, Jason Schaefer - vice president, Laura Wendt - secretary, Betsy Perkins - treasurer. David Whitcomb and June Preuss are also directors.

Lisa Earls & June Preuss were re-elected to the Board. Jason Schaefer & Tammy Magness were also elected. Thanks to Bonnie Peterson for running and to everyone who voted. The officers are president: Dave Whitcomb, Vice-president: Lisa Earl, Secretary: Laura Wendt, Treasurer: Betsy Perkins

How do we decide what now products to pick up? We look at what's available and what space we have available. We ask ourselves the following questions to help us make a decision:
Is the product organic? Is it GMO-free? Does it contain meat or dairy products from factory farms? Does it taste good? Is it healthful? Is it too expensive for our market? Can our competition sell it for less than we can? Is it local, or from very far away? Is it available from our normal suppliers, or otherwise easy to obtain?
We are always open to suggestions from our member-owners.

Last year, Amazing Grains planted and organized a large cooperative garden just blocks from our store in downtown Grand Forks. We successfully grew thousands of pounds of food, engaging with over 100 volunteers throughout the summer months. For more information go to www.coopgarden.org.
